The Practical Quilter
The Practical Quilter is a new concept shopping experience for the New Zealand Quilter with the sole focus of offering the supplies and accessories needed to make amazing quilts, bags or other textile items.
Sometimes the path we take can change without notice and you find yourself on a new adventure. Alternate Routes allows you to start with one plan in mind for a quilt and gives you the flexibility to change it along the way to create an even better result! With 20 different layout options included in the pattern, deciding on your favorite may not be simple, and it may very well change once the blocks are made. Have fun trying a few of our layouts or try creating your own before you sew the rows together.
Shopping for fabric for this quilt pattern is a breeze as you only need two contrasting fabrics! The HST units are created slightly larger, and are all trimmed to size making the final block assembly accurate and stress free. The instructions and methods included in this pattern are suitable for an experienced beginner. (We do not recommend you try this pattern for your first quilt.)
