If you are a fan of William Morris historical design then you will have heard of Michele Hill. She has made a career out of bringing William Morris into the quilting world with a wonderful range of patterns that she has adapted from original William Morris designs. This is the Coffee with William Morris appliqued quilt pattern. The finished quilt is approximately 54" x 68". This quilt came about over a cup of coffee on Christmas Day 2002. This quilt includes elements from the coffee cup which was insipired by the 'Rose' design of William Morris c. 1883. It is recorded that Morris was influenced by a 16th Venetian silk and gold brocade when he was designing 'Rose'.
