Are you looking for that perfect retreat for a quilt retreat with some friends? Maybe a get away with friends or family then you will love our house in the town of Ohakune. Why Okaune you ask? Just look at the view of Mt Ruhapeau for starters and yes that is your view from the deck and did I mention the spa pool on the deck?
Why a quilt retreat? When we built this house, one of the things we made sure of was to have plenty of space, plenty of plugs and plenty of spaces to take in the view in front of the house while we do our favourite activities whehter it be sitting on the deck reading a book through to making quilts. The light coming in is so great when your cutting our next quilt pattern or sewing up your latest project.
And you don't need to be a quilter to enjoy our home. There is so much to do around Oakune and the wider Ruhapeu District. Check out the Visit Ruapehu website to plan your visit. This isn't just a winter destination either. If you're in tramping, mountain biking or just having a wonder around the area, you'll be spoiled for choices.
Need more information to tempt you? The house is only 5 minutes away from town by car. Has three large bedrooms each with a queen size bed. The master bedroom has its own en suite. You have a large cedar lined mud room to get out of your ski gear, tramping gear, etc. and hang it to dry for the next day. Or use the large modern laundry facilities. Lets talk about the kitchen. If you love to cook, you'll love this kitchen. I know I do. But if you don't want to cook, there are a number of dining or takeway options in town.
