Claire Turpin Design

Claire Turpin is a designer who has made a name for herself in the quilting and appliqué world. After working in London as a spatial and graphic designer, she moved to Perth, Australia, where she rediscovered her passion for sewing. Over the past two decades, Claire has developed a unique style characterized by bold, bright, and often humorous designs.

Her work primarily focuses on quilt patterns, appliqué projects, and cushion designs, which are distributed globally. She has been featured in industry magazines, participated in various "block of the month" programs, and even launched her own brand, "Mr. Kip," which offers home products derived from her quilting designs. Claire's designs stand out for their playful, modern approach and are suitable for all skill levels, appealing to both hobbyists and seasoned quilters. Beyond her commercial work, she also enjoys teaching and sharing her expertise with others through workshops and tutorials.

The Practical Quilter currently offers over 30 designs from Claire Turpin.
