The Practical Quilter
The Practical Quilter is a new concept shopping experience for the New Zealand Quilter with the sole focus of offering the supplies and accessories needed to make amazing quilts, bags or other textile items.
The Practical Quilter is closed for a short break from Saturday, 31 May 2025 and will reopen on Saturday, 14 June 2025.
Blooming Star is one of Stephanie Soebbing's favorite kinds of quilts, one that looks like it is a lot harder to sew than it really is. With strip-pieced diamonds and no Y-seams, the top goes together fairly quickly and without a lot of fuss. A Clearview Triangle Ruler, or a 60-degree ruler with all three points and no blunt tips, is required to create Blooming Star.
