The Practical Quilter is a new concept shopping experience for the New Zealand Quilter with the sole focus of offering the supplies and accessories needed to make amazing quilts, bags or other textile items.
The Practical Quilter is closed for a short break from Saturday, 31 May 2025 and will reopen on Saturday, 14 June 2025.
On my recent trip to Canada I discovered Lorna McMahon from Sew Fresh Quilts. This is Farm Friends quilt pattern. Farm Friends is an 11 page quilt pattern, made using traditional piecing methods. No templates. No paper piecing. Only simple straight line sewing and diagonal seams. Pattern includes material requirements lists for each of the four size settings and charts for each quilt block. Blocks included are dog, pig, sheep, cat, billy goat, chick, calf, etc.
